OBLQ /əˈbliːk/ is a streetwear brand with the intention to democratize design a step further and therefore enables every user to be part of the design process. We built an interactive design generator, which allows every individual to create their custom shirt.
The goal of OBLQ is to democratize the design to a certain extent. Through the use of a design generator and therefore the fact that users can influence the design process, one becomes in a way a co-creator of the brand.
Users can choose a style to match their mood or personality, and influence and change the design through a range of different settings and parameters. At the end of this process, users can order the graphics to be printed on a shirt. We carry unisex shirts with a relaxed oversized fit made out of 100% organic cotton available in a wide rage of sizes.
OBLQ has no intention to produce mass fashion. We focus on the production of unique one-of-a-kind pieces and clearly position ourselves against the fast fashion movement on the market. Our German production partner produces unique pieces on demand for us. So there is no overproduction. The shirts are made of 100% organic cotton and are certified with various certificates like OEKO-Tex Standard 100, FairWear Foundation, OCS 100 Blended, GRS and PETA.
OBLQ was founded by two designers who embrace the explorative nature of blending technology and design.
